Laugh the night away with friends and family all while supporting independence-building programs for Guelph citizens with developmental exceptionalities! Community of Hearts invites you to join us for our annual Comedy Night Fundraiser! We are so excited to announce that this year we are featuring the incredible talents of Toronto’s own, The Lusty Mannequins, as well as the wonderful and hilarious, Rob Lewin!

All proceeds from this event go directly to funding programs for youth, adults and seniors with developmental exceptionalities. These programs support participants to build skills and reach the level of independence they desire to become engaged members in our community.

More about our performers:
The Lusty Mannequins are Ashley Comeau, Alastair Forbes, Karen Parker, and Connor Thompson: the Four Horsemen of the Comedy Apocalypse!*All four are alumni of the Second City Mainstage in Toronto, combining for over 60 years of comedy experience. They have taught and performed the world over, from Bratislava to Barcelona, from London to the Gulf of Mexico (aboard a cruise ship). In 2016 they co-founded the Mama City Improv Festival in Cape Town, helping to create the first ever international improv festival on the African Continent. They have appeared in commercials and TV shows and films and have sung with symphonies and written plays and podcasts, alongside folks like John Cleese, Robin Duke, Martin Short, Colin Mochrie, and the Kids in the Hall. They have gathered many accolades including Canadian Comedy Awards, Dora Award nominations and most recently the ‘Best of the Fest’ from the 2018 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival in March.

Rob Lewin has been entertaining improv, stand-up and sketch comedy audiences for the last 10 years. He has performed at festivals in Toronto, Guelph, Halifax, Detroit and New York City. Rob is a founding member of the Making-Box Brigade and faculty member of the Making-Box Improv Incubator. He is excited to perform at the COH fundraiser because everyone from COH he’s met so far has been lovely and charming, and could a whole community of people possibly be that lovely and charming? He needs to investigate.
