We are excited to announce a NEW Sunday Social program and everyone is welcome to join in! All ages, and abilities: bring a friend, your family, your entire group, or come alone and meet new friends!!

Every Sunday is a new activity, so the fun never stops! Check out the poster below and join us for Boardgames, Art, Bingo and Karaoke!

Get your membership for 2020 for only $25 and join in every Sunday all year!!
Light snack and drink will also be provided.

Community of Hearts is here to support you to develop skills to create a life of wellness and the level of independence you desire. If you are looking to add some skills and fun to your evenings, we have something for you! With small groups and a person centred focus, we give you the opportunity to learn, explore and enjoy your time with others.

Survival Cooking 3.0

Our Survival Cooking courses give you the tools and freedom to be independent in the kitchen!
With the support of a Life Skills Educator, visual cookbook and colour coded measuring tools, cooking essential meals has never been easier!
In Survival Cooking you will learn to cook your dinner with the group, enjoy the meal together with friends and gain kitchen confidence to cook for yourself!

Wednesdays: Jan 22nd – Mar 11th

The Brunch Club

Our new Brunch Club program gives you the tools and freedom to create brunch meals independently for yourself or friends. With the support of a Life Skills Educator, visual cookbook and colour coded measuring tools, making brunch has never been easier!
Learn to make brunch meals with the group, enjoy the meal with friends and gain kitchen confidence to cook for yourself!

Share Your Voice 
Recording Workshop

 We are teaming up with the amazing Jenny Mitchell to share stories and conversation from the people we support.

“During these workshops participants will use a small recording studio to learn how to record each others’ voices, all while learning good strategies for asking questions, and listening.”

Boxes of Hearts, Social Enterprise

Boxes of Hearts is a social enterprise program that gives adults with developmental exceptionalities the opportunity to gain job training and job experience through community based opportunities at Community of Hearts.

Along with job experience and training, participants of this program receive a certificate of completion, an honourarium for their time and can count on references for future employment endeavours.

Safety for Independent Living 

This program was created to help people with developmental disabilities feel safe in all their usual places: home, work, school, online, and in the community.

Through games, digital media, video, lessons and visual aids, we will empower participants with the tools they need to make confident choices and live a safe life. 

Saturdays: 1pm – 3pm
Feb 1st, 8th, and 15th
