Join in the fun at KARAOKE!

Community of Hearts Lifelong Learning Centre welcome’s everyone from the community to join us for FREE KARAOKE!

This is a family friendly event and no music experience is required. Our goal is to have fun, build community and enjoy some great tunes! Come alone and meet new friends, or bring your whole crew and join us for this fun afternoon event!
Light snack and drink will also be provided!

Survival Cooking 2.0

Survival cooking is a great program created to give participants more independence in the kitchen! Great nutritious meals, easy to make, and enjoyed with others! With the support of a Life Skills Educator, a visual aid cookbook and colour- coded measuring tools, participants explore ways to safely and independently prepare nutritious single serve meals!

Healthy Baking

Back by popular demand this Spring! We are baking up a batch of delicious, nutritious, and easy to create recipes!

Join us Wednesdays in May and June and learn to create easy, inexpensive baked goods for yourself and your loved ones. We use visual recipes and colour- coded measuring tools to ensure accessible learning and support you to recreate these great items independently in the future!  

Wednesdays: May 1st – June 19th

Therapeutic Improv

This program uses improv theatre as a therapeutic technique for building confidence, social skills, and enhancing well-being. Improv is an incredible communication skill-building tool and the most fun! All are welcome, and no previous experience required!

Saturdays: April 27th to June 22nd (No class May 18th)

Boxes of Hearts,
Social Enterprise

Workers in this program make and sell great products such as gluten-free, preservative-free dog cookies as well as delicious seasonal candies. This program supports development of employment skills in areas of: increased concentration and focus on job tasks; further development of receptive language; increased competence to follow instructions; abiding by Health and Safety regulations; as well as independence and confidence on the job.
Upon completion of the program, workers receive honorariums and a certificate of completion. More importantly, they make community connections and can count on references for future employment endeavours.

Choir of Hearts 

Get ready to sing your heart out! Choir of Hearts is an inclusive singing group aimed at building self-confidence through using our voices. We will be working on musical skills such as matching pitches, clapping rhythms, reading music, learning the names of notes, and singing in rounds, unisons, and solos.

Fridays: 3:30 – 4:30pm

Dungeons & Dragons

Dungeons & Dragons is a great way to strengthen social and interpersonal skills, explore your creativity, build on your self confidence! The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasures, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, and much more!
